Who we are and what we do.
Seifried Research is an engineering company focused on the development of technologies to advance applications in thermal control, power generation and various customer requested projects requiring specialized design capabilities inherent within the skills sets the company possesses. SR provides assembled modules such as heat exchangers or complete solutions for full thermal control and management.
Current Project
Current development has resulted in a basic EV chiller that can now replace the usual plate heat exchangers resulting in significantly reduced weight, cost, and improved performance providing heating and cooling within one assembly by simply changing the polarity of the voltage to the TEC (Peltier) chips using special embedded control hardware. Heat exchangers can be easily modified to meet installation requirements with the added capability of using LI-Ion fire retardant fluids now available. Li-Ion fires can now be mitigated as can currently occur in any EV using Li-Ion batteries. (Link to EV fires article)
OVERALL MISSION
The primary development effort is devoted to designing advanced and highly efficient thermoelectric-based heat exchangers. Applications are primarily directed to the electric vehicle and semiconductor FAB industries. Other industries such as commercial hydroponics, medical, laboratory, and basic refrigeration products will all benefit from this next generation solid-state heat exchanger.
GOAL
Seifried Research provides the technology and works with customers to integrate thermoelectric technology into their specific applications. Requests for specific applications are always welcome and encouraged. Thermoelectric heating and cooling is ideal for replacing the usual compressor-based fluids currently being reviewed and, in some cases, outright banned as of 2025 … especially in Europe.
